What we collect, who receives it, how long we keep it

To quote and issue your policy, we collect the information you enter and upload in your application, and share it only with carriers, the quoting system our licensed agent uses, and, once you decide to buy, the partner that issues your policy. We keep it only as long as needed; to see, correct or delete it, or with any questions, contact us.

Who handles your information

This website and our app are operated by INTELLITECH INSURANCE BROKERAGE & AGENCY LLC, a licensed Texas independent insurance agency (TDI license 3552937). This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information while we compare quotes and help you obtain a policy. We serve Texas personal auto and home insurance customers only. If the Chinese and English versions differ, the English version controls.

What we collect

Information you provide when you apply: · Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, marital status, gender and email address. We collect a phone number only if, when confirming a purchase, you agree to a verification call. · Addresses: where the vehicle is parked, the home address and your mailing address. · Vehicles and drivers: VIN, make and model, use and mileage, ownership and lienholder; for each driver, name, date of birth, license number and issuing state, year first licensed, and accidents and violations in the last 5 years. · Your home: year built, living area, number of stories, construction, roof, pool, dogs, home business and similar details, claims in the last 5 years, and your mortgage lender and loan number. · Current insurance: carrier, coverage limits, continuity of coverage, expiration date and premium. · Declaration pages you upload (PDF or photo). We do not keep the original file name. We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank card details or any other payment information. When your policy is being issued, a licensed agent may ask you by phone for your Social Security number, or for driver's license numbers you did not provide in your application, so the carrier can issue the policy. This platform does not store the information you give by phone for this purpose.

Information created automatically when you use the site

Some information is created automatically when you use the website or app: · Sign-in: after you verify your email, your browser keeps a sign-in cookie that page scripts cannot read, for up to 180 days, and a cookie that remembers your language choice for 1 year. · Browser storage: a random device identifier, the coverage you chose and your progress, so you can leave and pick up where you left off. Clearing this site's data removes them. · Records: when you give an authorization, verify a sign-in or confirm a purchase intent, we record the IP address and browser details at that moment, encrypted, as evidence that you took the action yourself. · App: a device identifier and push notification token, used to deliver notifications to your phone. We do not use advertising tracking cookies and do not track you across other websites.

How we use it

· To request quotes from carriers, produce your comparison report and send it to you. · Once you decide to buy, to have a licensed Texas agent handle issuing the policy and, if you agree, call you to verify your details before issuing. · To send notices about your application, such as verification codes, links to continue, and report-ready notices. · To keep your account secure: verification codes, a limit on signed-in devices, and a temporary lock after repeated wrong codes. · To check internally for duplicate applications and prevent abuse. This check happens only inside our systems and does not involve sending your information to any third party. · To keep records required by insurance regulation and to handle your questions and complaints. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to your application.

Who receives it

We share information only as needed for the purposes above, with: · Carriers, for quoting and underwriting. With your authorization, carriers may obtain your motor vehicle record (MVR) and claims history (CLUE), and may obtain credit information for pricing. · The comparative rater, where our licensed agent personally enters your information to request quotes from several carriers at once. · Issuing specialists in the Smart Start network, who see the information needed to issue your policy only after you decide to buy. They do not enter quotes. · A licensed Texas agent, who handles issuing your policy. · Companies that provide technical services to us: email delivery, cloud servers and databases, file storage, app notifications, error monitoring, and the AI service that reads the declaration pages you upload. They may process information only as we instruct and may not use it for anything else. · When required by law: to respond to formal requests from regulators, courts or law enforcement. A friend who referred you cannot see any of your application details or progress.

What we do not do

· We do not sell your information, do not resell it, and do not sell it to brokers who resell customer data. · We do not send SMS text messages. · We do not collect any payment or bank card information; premiums are billed directly by the carrier. · We do not obtain, store or display your credit report (see the next section).

Credit information

Carriers may obtain and use credit information in pricing. This platform does not collect, obtain, store, display, or infer any credit information about you.

How we contact you

· Email: your comparison report, verification codes and notices about your application go to the email address you gave us. The emails do not include your personal details or amounts, only a link to open the report. · App notifications: if you install our app and allow notifications. · Phone: only if you separately agree when confirming a purchase, a licensed agent will call once before issuing to verify your details. This call is not used for sales. We do not send SMS. We also do not send marketing emails at this time; if we ever do, we will ask for your separate consent first and include a way to unsubscribe in every email.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as needed: · Verification codes are valid for 10 minutes; sign-ins last up to 180 days; report links are valid for up to 72 hours; links to continue an application are usually valid for 7 days. · Authorization records, records about issuing and policies, and audit records: kept for the period Texas law requires. · Declaration pages you upload: if the application did not become a policy, until you delete your account; if it did, as part of the policy record, for the period Texas law requires. · Backups: daily backups are kept for 30 days and monthly backups for 5 years. · After you ask us to delete your account, you have 30 days to cancel the request. After that, your name, contact details and other identifying information are replaced with placeholders that cannot identify you, and the vehicle, driver and home details used for quoting are deleted. Records we must keep by law (such as authorization and policy records) are kept until their retention period ends.

How we protect it

· Sensitive details such as your name, date of birth, license number and loan number are encrypted before they are stored, with separate keys for different kinds of information. · Traffic between the website, the app and our servers is encrypted. · The sign-in cookie cannot be read by page scripts; verification codes and link tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, never in their original form. · Staff and partners see only what their work requires, must use multi-factor sign-in, and key actions are recorded in a tamper-evident log. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident may affect your data, we will notify you as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

· See your information: after signing in, you can see the main information we hold about you (partly masked) and your signed-in devices, and remove a device. · Correct it: you can change your answers yourself before you submit; after that, contact us to correct them. · Delete it: you can ask to delete your account in the app, on the website or by email, after verifying your email address. See "How long we keep it" for what happens next. · Withdraw consent: you can contact us at any time to withdraw an authorization you gave, such as email notices or the verification call. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened, and afterwards we may be unable to continue quoting or issuing for you. · We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, use the contact details in "Changes to this policy and how to reach us". We will first confirm that the request comes from you.

Minors

This service is for policyholders who are at least 18 years old. If your household includes drivers under 18, the policyholder provides their information, and it is used only for quoting and issuing. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors; if we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
